A silent path…

I want to quote what Mr Eko Prawoto, he is a famous architect in Indonesia, said, it seems to ‘An architect is a lonely man because he will be keep searching how to create a better environment, unfortunately many people will misunderstand him’. He said that an architect had a certain duty that came with his profession, and ironically when he designed a good and right ones, it couldn’t be accepted by the others. Indeed, once again he said that it was the choice that an architect had to choose.

I think loneliness is not only taken by an architect. Many other people who take the ‘silent path’, I quote his words again, when they have to do the uncommon things, or unpopular things (something’s good, I mean) that other people will not and do not do. He used a mango seed as an example. A mango seed would grow up became a mango tree. It wouldn’t be an orange tree. But while it was growing, it could grow unwell, even it wouldn’t be have fruits. As the point, there is a choice. As a human that created for a certain mission, we can choose to accomplish it or dismiss it. Even you dismiss it, you can’t change that the mission is still addressed only to you.

As a human being, it is us that determined how we will take our paths. There is a man that chooses to take the silent path, bringing his idealism and his value, while the others walk in the crowd because they don’t want to walk lonely, even honestly they hate their paths.

The point that I got, Mr Eko wanted to tell us as a human being there was a time when we had to choose the difficult choices, and chose the different choice with the others. Our uncommon choice could bring the others fought us. In spite of feeling worse, we had to keep our paths. I think it’s ok as long as we know exactly that we walk in the right path. Trading our idealism only because we don’t want take the silent path is not needed, just be yourself…  As for me, personally I believe when we walk on the right path, we can be alone but not lonely coz He is walking with us…
